What are the challenges faced?

Creating the large scale book installations can be quite a process, as you can imagine. One of the biggest challenges is to find a large enough number of discarded books to use. This can be extremely difficult. Fortunately for me, I partner with local libraries who donate large numbers of discarded books to me to use in my work.

How would you describe your work?

I suppose the best description for me is to say that if I were to compare my style to a writer, I would be more of a poet than a novelist. life. Once the inspiration hits, I usually just start painting. When everything goes right the painting paints itself, I just help it along the way. Music is a big help as well. installations in 5 different iPic Movie Theaters. Houston, Miami, New Jersey, New York, and Los Angeles. Each new location offered interesting stories and new friendships. I also got to create one of the largest book installation that was 18ft x 18ft consisting of over 7000 books.
