The Ideal Home and Garden

FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK

Enough of the past...let’s focus on the future, shall we? In order to focus on upcoming trends, we decided to overload this issue with all things new. Yes, we predict that 2020 is still going to see excess of geometry. While it might not be everyone’s favourite, it can however make for some wonderful decor. Circles, squares and rectangles, oh my! Do not worry about pairing the same shapes together, play separately to attract attention through asymmetry rather than balance. Come February, and lilac becomes the new black (or the new millennial pink!). Though the colour has captured all kinds of fashion, there’s a whole realm of purple shades that can brighten up your home. Whether you want to go hardcore or just a hint here and there, the team has it covered.

My personal style stamp is always minimal because there is nothing quite like the feeling of a freshly spruced up space. But taking a virtual tour of Alex Pall’s home(featured in Jan 2020), I have realised that maximalism is the no-rules-necessary approach to hiding one’s personality.

Bold colours, interesting artworks, quirky accessories; such spaces can be soothing and welcoming. To help you master the modern take on the less-is-more as well as more-is-more, we gathered chic designs and products from well known designers and brands.

Finally, we couldn’t have had a better option than ‘The World Towers’ residences taking over our Nouveau Arrival section and cover for February edition. The project simply oozes style and luxury from head to toe.

I ready do hope you have an amazing time going through the pages.

Cheers!
