‘Dashmesh Regiment’ claims to have killed Gagneja

Chandigarh: A day after Home Minister Rajnath Singh said RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja’s killers “will not be spared”, a mysterious note surfaced Wednesday in which an outfit — Dashmesh Regiment — claimed responsibility for killing Gagneja. A militant outfit with the same name used to be active in Punjab during 1980s. Top Punjab police officers, however, said “it was a non-existent organisation now.” They said either the note was fake or a new group was using the name of the outfit. ENS
