AIIMS writes to health ministry, want UHID linked with Aadhaar

New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has written to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare requesting it to make it mandatory to link the Unique Health Identification Number (UHID) with Aadhaar numbers.

The UHID is a single point of reference for all patient activities at AIIMS, where least 40 lakh patients have generated UHIDS since the e-hospital software was launched in July last year. ENS
