Jaya’s niece enters politics

Chennai: Statingthatshewantsto fulfill her “aunt’s dreams”, Deepa Jayakumar, 41, niece of late J Jayalalithaa, on Tuesday announced her formal entry in politics.whileadmittingtwooptions before her — to join the AIADMK or to launch a new party — Jayakumarsaidshewillannounce thedetailedplansonfebruary24, thelatecm’sbirthanniversary,after talking to her followers.

She said she cannot accept anyone at the helm of the party barringitstwolateleaders—party founder M G Ramachandran and her aunt, Jayalalithaa.

Asked about AIADMK general-secretary V K Sasikala, and whether she is scared of her, Jayakumar said she is not. ENS
