■ Fans try to catch a glimpse of the first round match between Croatia's Ivo Karlovic and Argentine Horacio Zeballos during the Australian Open on Tuesday. ■ The match, played on the tiny Court 19, lasted five hours 15 minutes and finished with a 6-7(6) 3-6 7-5 6-2 22-20 victory for Karlovic. ■ Despite its length, the contest was still 38 minutes shy of the record for the longest match at the Australian Open — the 2012 final between Djokovic and Nadal. ■ Karlovic smacked 75 aces —38 in the final set alone — in his win. “Arm is good,” he said, noting the frequency of aces. “But my knee, my back, little bit not so good.”
