Justice Sen hits the ground running at Kotla

-

ON WEDNESDAY, there was a buzz at the DDCA when Justice (Rtd) Vikramajit Sen reached the Kotla at 9.30 am and took over as administrator. Justice (Rtd) Mukul Mudgal, his predecessor, was also present. As the newly appointed administrator, he met the office staff, watched the probables of the Delhi one-day team training and by evening issued a slew of directions. Following are the highlights:

Offices under lock and key

Directions have also been issued to lock all the rooms used by the erstwhile officer-bearers (their term ended in October). These rooms are to be used only for cricket-related activities, after seeking his prior permission.

Staff under watch

There are 110 staff members at the DDCA, including office boys and receptionists. It has been alleged that some of these staff members are at the beck and call of the office-bearers for whom they run personal errands too. Sen has sought to crack down on ‘absentee’ staff members by making it mandatory for them to give in writing the reason for going out during office hours. A register for attendance and timings are to be maintained. Sen has also asked for a list of salaries, date of appointment and duties of the staff.

Scrutiny of clubs

Sen has also asked for the list of affiliated clubs and the details of grants received by them from the DDCA. They have also been asked to provide their registration details within four weeks.

Channel of communication

Henceforth all communication to ddca@ddca.co shall be forwarded to justicesen.ddca@ ***** .***, Sen wrote as part of his directions. The other email frequently used by the DDCA shall no longer be used for any work on behalf of the DDCA.

Restrictions on internet use

Henceforth, the phones and internet facility can be used only by administrative, accounts and the IT department.
