Talks underway for military drill with China

Kathmandu: Nepal and China will soon be deciding the date, scale and type of the proposed joint military exercise — the first in their six-decadelong diplomatic relations. The date, venue and the scale of the exercise will be decided after the final planning meeting is held in China in a couple of weeks, highly placed Nepalese defence ministry sources told ENS. A 15-member Chinese delegation led by a Maj General-rank official of the Peoples Liberation Army was in Kathmandu for two days — Sunday and Monday — days after the first planning meeting took place between the officials of two sides.
