ATS VS NIA ON PRAGYA THAKUR

MAHARASHTRA ATS:

■ Attached statements of co-accused and witnesses Dharmendra Bairagi, Yashpal Badana and R P Singh. ■ Bairagi said he overheard Pragya and Ramji Kalsangra discussing the blast, and Pragya expressing displeasure at the low casualties. ■ Badana said he overheard Pragya saying she could provide men to carry out for the attack.

NIA:

■ Re-recorded statements of three witnesses, two of them before a magistrate (ATS had also recorded their statements before a magistrate) ■ NIA said Bairagi told a magistrate on November 26, 2008, that ATS tortured him for a statement ■ In a new statement, R P Singh said he had not told ATS anything about Pragya showing her readiness to provide men for a blast
