Nigerian held with drugs gets 12 yr jail

New Delhi: A city court sentenced a 44-year-old Nigerian national to 12 years in prison for possessing commercial quantity of Ecstasy drug. Special Judge Sanjay Garg convicted the man, who was held with 44 grams of Ecstasy, also known as the love drug, under the provision of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on him.
