INDIA bloc leaders to protest outside BJP headquarters today
AHEAD OF its scheduled mega rally on March 31 against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, leaders of the INDIA bloc will hold a protest outside the BJP headquarters at ITO in Delhi on Friday.
The alliance will also stage a protest against the BJP for allegedly taking crores of rupees in Electoral Bonds by “extorting people through the Enforcement Directorate”, the AAP said on Thursday. According to a Delhi Congress leader, leaders and volunteers from the party's Delhi unit, including Arvinder Singh Lovely and Jitender Jitu, are expected to join the protest.
Following Kejriwal's arrest last week in the alleged liquor policy case, AAP has held a series of protests outside the CM house, at ITO, at Patel Chowk Metro station and at Delhi Vidhan Sabha.

Last week, following a highlevel meeting of the party, AAP National General Secretary Sandeep Pathak said he had received instructions from Kejriwal to organise a mega rally at Ramlila Maidan on March 31.
Following this, the party has been busy holding preparation meetings at each constituency and mandal level to achieve the target of gathering more than 1 lakh people at Ramlila Maidan.
DCP (Central) Harsh Vardhan said final permission for the rally has to be given by the returning officer (RO), adding that police have given their recommendations about the terms and conditions that the rally should follow, including having a specific number of participants, ensuring no law and order issue, among others.
