THE ENFORCEMENT Directorate on thursday questioned two leadersof the a am a ad mi party in goa, including the party’s state president Amit Palekar, in connection with its probe into the Delhi excise police case.
Coming days after the ED arresteddelhi chief minister arv ind Kejriwal and alleged that bribes received by the AAP were funnelled into the party’s Goa Assembly election campaign in 2021-22, the agency’s move to question the leaders from the coastal state has been described by AAP legislators as an attempt to create a “fear psychosis”.
During preliminary questioningon thursday, both pale kara nd AAP’S former Goa vice-president Ramrao Wagh were asked about the details of the party’s expenditure during the 2021-22 campaign, and about declarations made in their election affidavits, The Indian Express has learnt. Sources said the a a pleaders were also asked to furnish details of their bank account transactions in the past five years.
The line of questioning revolved around the circumstances in which the two AAP leaders got the party tickets to contest elections in 2022 and how they arranged money for campaigning in their respective constituencies.

Speaking to reporters outside Ed' s office in the evening, aap goa chief Palekar said it is “too much of a co incidence” that all four leaders, who hail from Bhandari community, were summoned ." The ED is only following the orders of their boss es. the drama has begun and the first act of the drama has ended today,” Palekar said.
Wagh later told The Indian Express that he was questioned about how he managed expenses for campaigning during elections. "I have submitted a statement to the ED with all these details," he said.
