BahuBali eyeing rs 1,000 crore

The makers of the costliest Indian film till now made on a budget of Rs 240 crore, are eyeing for a record gross collection of Rs 1000 crore when it hits screens worldwide on 10 July. Sources close to the film’s producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni said Bahubali will enter the Rs 1,000 crore-club. Starring Telugu actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati as the protagonis­t and the antagonist respective­ly, the film is likely to be released on more than 2,000 screens. Director S.S. Rajamouli, who took six years to complete the film, is loaded with requests for dubbing it into different languages including Chinese and Japanese. Made in Telegu and Tamil, the bilingual flick has been already dubbed into Hindi and Malyalam. There are also plans to turn it into an animation. Noted for its advanced visual effects from China and the United States, the first of the two-part movie has made an on-table business of around Rs 350 crore with its distributi­on rights being sold to top distributo­rs across India.
