TRIALS OF WOMEN WRESTLERS

Veteran Geeta Phogat and youngster Vinesh would be fighting it out for a place in the upcoming women’s World Wrestling Championships, while an injured Babita Kumari will miss the selection trials, slated to be held in SAI Training Centre, Lucknow on July 6. Glasgow Commonwealth Games goldmedallist Babita suffered an injury that forced her out of the trials for the event in Las Vegas from September 7-12, which will also be the first qualification tournament for next year’s Rio Olympics.
