Facebook will use drones for internet

-

NEW YORK: Facebook is hoping to devise a way to connect the many millions who still don’t have wired internet access. Founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has recently suggested that they are considering using drones and a satellite fleet to connect users to the internet in developing nations. Zuckerberg had exhibited a “laser communications system”, which the company was working on in order to beam data from above. The technology might change the way many countries receive the internet. Since Facebook is already working on the drone technology, the merging of laser technology with the drone technology will not be far-fetched. Since most of these countries do not have widespread wired internet connections, the next step to connect them all would be to use technology from the sky. Some of the ways to do this are by weather balloons, satellites, or drones. The display by Zuckerberg is part of the Internet.org movement, through which he wishes to connect everyone in the world with internet.
