Artwork depictinG pope causes stir

MILWAUKEE: A US art museum has found itself at the centre of a storm after it unveiled a portrait of Pope Benedict XVI made out of 17,000 condoms. Around 200 complaints have been received by the Milwaukee Art Museum as a result of the portrait, and an almost equal number of people have come out in support. Named “Eggs Benedict”, the portrait is designed by Niki Johnson. Some patrons of the museum have cancelled their memberships in protest. The portrait was acquired from gay rights advocate, Joseph Pabst.
