Paris to Get 1st hiGhrise in 40 Yrs

PARIS: A 590 feet tall skyscraper might soon adorn the skyline in Paris. The building, which had been the subject of controvers­y and opposition, was approved by the Paris city council on Tuesday. The structure will have the distinctio­n of being the first skyscraper to be approved in the city in the last 40 years. The Montparnas­se building, from 1973 is the last skyscraper to have been made in the city. Named the “Tour Triangle”, the project is backed by French commercial real estate company, UnibailRod­amco and will cost 500 million Euro.
