Paris to Get 1st hiGhrise in 40 Yrs
PARIS: A 590 feet tall skyscraper might soon adorn the skyline in Paris. The building, which had been the subject of controversy and opposition, was approved by the Paris city council on Tuesday. The structure will have the distinction of being the first skyscraper to be approved in the city in the last 40 years. The Montparnasse building, from 1973 is the last skyscraper to have been made in the city. Named the “Tour Triangle”, the project is backed by French commercial real estate company, UnibailRodamco and will cost 500 million Euro.
