Ev rally Zips across europe

BERLIN: A bunch of electric vehicle enthusiasts are rolling along to Switzerland in green-powered cars to raise awareness for sustainability. On 11 June, 70 teams from 10 countries set out on the over 1,110 mile journey from Germany to Basel in Switzerland. The convoy, which consists of e-bikes, trucks, and even retrofitted classic cars, is a part of the annual World Advanced Vehicle Expedition (WAVE) Trophy EV Rally which started in 2011. The participants will also interact with sustainability companies that are en-route, apart from educating the public about green transport. Last year, WAVE brought together 576 vehicles and set a Guinness World Record for largest parade of electric vehicles.
