BATRA RUNNING FOR FIH PRESIDENCY

The President of Hockey India (the chief governing body of the sport in India) Narinder Batra has been announced as one of the candidates in the upcoming International Hockey Federation (FIH) elections for the post of President. He would be contesting against two other candidates, David Balbirnie of Ireland and Ken Read of Australia. The elections would take place on November 12 as part of the 45th Congress of FIH to be held in Dubai. All three candidates have been nominated by the the main governing body of hockey in their respective countries.
