INDIAN WEIGHTLIFTERS BAG MEDALS

India bagged a historic silver and bronze in the 56kg weight category at the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Weightlifting Championships for both boys and girls on Friday. Jeremy Lalrinnunga finished second with a lift of 108kg in snatch and 127kg in clean and jerk for a total effort of 235kg to bag the silver medal. Muthupandi Raja clinched the bronze with an overall lift of 233kg (100+133), according to an Indian Weightlifting Federation release.
