Madhya pradesh has become ‘mukhya pradesh’

The recently-concluded GIS 2016, organised by the government of Madhya Pradesh at Indore — the commercial capital of MP — was an attempt to showcase the business strength and industrial growth potential of the state. The meet was organised to provide a global platform for interactio­n with different industry leaders, policy makers, investors and other stakeholde­rs across India and from other countries. Present at the Summit, Union Urban Developmen­t Minister, M. Venkaiah Naidu applauded the Madhya Pradesh government for making a remarkable progress in the city’s urbanisati­on. The Union Minister, addressing the gathering at the Global Investors Summit said, “We will provide all possible help to Madhya Pradesh on priority basis for its urban developmen­t mission. Constant efforts are needed to complete infrastruc­ture developmen­t in small urban habitats. Madhya Pradesh has now becomecome an important state, and urbanizati­on is the core of developmen­t and the need of the hour.” He also remarked that Madhya Pradesh has s become Mukhya Pradesh. He said that agricultur­al growth in this state has enhanced disposable income ome in rural areas. “Madhya Pradesh has become mukhya ( chief) pradesh with surplus water, electricit­y ectricity and good roads,” he said. Naidu also saidd that he was astonished initially when seven cities of Madhya Pradesh was featured in list of Smart Citiess brought to him by his officers. But, later, he said, he understood­nderstood the nature of developmen­t that had taken place in the state.
