Shorts not allowed, boys wear skirts
LONDON: In a protest against their school not letting them wear shorts, around 30 boys wore skirts while attending the ISCA Academy in Exeter this week. “We’re not allowed to wear shorts, and I’m not sitting in trousers all day, it’s a bit hot,” said one of the student protesters, the BBC reported. Head teacher Aimee Mitchell said that shorts were not part of the school uniform, but added, “We recognise that the last few days have been exceptionally hot and with hotter weather becoming more normal, I would be happy to consider a change in future.” The students are hoping that the school will reconsider its no-shorts policy.
