Reynu Taandon will showcase her new SS’17 collection Coachella Chapter 2, at India Couture Week on 26 July. Collection showcases printed off shoulder tops with shift dresses and beautifully carved multicoloured embroidered long jackets that never fall out of fashion. There is an interesting mix of stripes and Ikat used in long flowy skirts and shirts. The whole collection is full of shades of white and blue with colourful bohemian motifs. Designer has played with the cuts of the sleeves and the fall of the dress. It’s a merge of traditional embroidery with special elements recreated in contemporary and practical items for everyday use, as well as refined evening attire. Varun Bahl looks to the Art Nouveau period for inspiration at the latest edition of India Couture Week 2017, which will be showcased on 28 July. His recent collection Dream Nouveau creates a series of vintage floral stories. The designer borrows from art, and blends a vintage idiom with modern execution. The collection has traits of the artists’ traditional bohemian influence and neo classical motifs. The range plays with curvi linear patterns, asymmetrical lines, and floral and plant motifs. The colour palette is an eclectic mix of Varun’s signature ivory, pale pink, peach, burnt orange, pistachio, red, and old rose.
