‘Always be grateful, mindful and unabashedly yourself’

Q. How did you come up with the idea of starting your own company?

A. The idea behind starting a company was to fulfill the everyday wear jewellery requirements of the modern woman. There are a lot of options available in the Indian jewellery market for heavy, traditional designer pieces however we noticed a gap in the market for minimal, modern, chic and daily wear designs. It was the idea of bridging the gap and bringing international aesthetics and global trends back home that motivated me to create Irasva.

Q. What was the idea behind Irasva?

A. “Ira” stands for love that forms an eternal bond with “sva”, the essence of self, thus creating an inseparable harmony of self-love, i.e. Irasva. Our collections are inspired by the relationship of the self with the world around us. These emotions of self-expression are reflected in our designs and in the form of a story—each collection having its own unique tale. Our aim is to create subtleyet-impactful designs that are a part of your everyday life.

Q. Given a chance, which fictional character you would like to become and why?

A. I am an avid Harry Potter fan as I resonate with the protagonist’s quality to explore and face his fears and challenges head on.

Q. What is your mantra of a happy life?

A. Always be grateful, mindful and unabashedly yourself.

Q. What keeps you motivated professionally?

A. I am always inspired by what is going on around me. Creativity can be found hidden in the everyday moments and emotions of life, which I thoroughly enjoy bringing to life with our designs.
