Q. Tell us something about your work and Ballebaazi? A. Ballebaazi is a fantasy sports platform that I co-founded it in 2018. Ballebaazi has emerged as one of the fastest growing sports platforms in the country. This has been achieved by an ecosystem of game play innovation and platform credibility in the eyes of our users which have remained the prime business goals for me personally and my team from the very beginning.

Q. What types of online games do you play?

A. I have been a gamer throughout my life. Even when the internet revolution hadn’t taken off, I had a Sega console with games like Contra & Sega Tennis in my top drawer. I play FIFA on my PS4 console with my friends almost every other weekend. Been an avid Poker player and have been playing fantasy sports since 2001 when ESPN super sector was the only such platform in India.

Q. Why do you find online gaming so interesting? A. With the exhilarating growth of digital landscape in the world and especially India, a similar trend in the digital gaming front was always on the cards. India is a very young country with nearly 70% of the population below the age of 35. Being able to compete with users across geographies on the go or in the comfort of your home, places online gaming on the sweet spot. We all have a gamer in us and that’s why this industry will always rock.

Q. What are your hobbies?

A. It must be apparent that gaming does occupy a major chunk of my free time. Keeping that aside, I have been a passionate amateur astronomer with a line of telescopes at my home. I started a community called “Beyond Our Planet” for budding astronomers to come along and strike relevant conversations.
