With its cosmopolitan allure, world-class infrastructure and diverse culinary scene, Singapore is the ideal choice for couples looking to exchange vows in style. For ace designer, Rahul Mishra the island nation is also a muse! In collaboration with Singapore Tourism Board, the designer recently created marquee wedding couture pieces— featuring actor Tamannaah Bhatia—that capture the essence of Singapore. The collection is inspired by the designer’s visit to the country and aims to invite couples to celebrate their big day here.

Singapore now provides extraordinary offerings making the country an ideal destination for weddings. Think ‘gramworthy spots, exceptional venues, and world-class facilities. The island country is perfect for chic weddings at breezy beachfront resorts, historic colonial bungalows, elegant chapels, or opulent hotel ballrooms.

During his time in Singapore, the couturier was inspired by the elaborate floral motifs, kaleidoscope of hues and textures, and bursts of colour courtesy of Peranakan shophouses. His collection also pays ode to destinations such as Gardens by the Bay and Sensoryscape at Sentosa. The majestic skyline of Marina Bay inspires the collection’s graceful silhouettes characterised by sleek lines and soaring architecture.

“Singapore is a vibrant and multicultural city, which can be a great destination for weddings and is the perfect muse for my bridal couture collection. The city’s vibe resonates with my design style, including geometry, texture, and elements of nature that blend modern and traditional influences. Singapore is a city in nature, where inspiration flows in the air, where beauty follows you through every lane you visit. It’s so many cities in one— vibrant and futuristic, yet calm and pristine. I didn’t just travel in Singapore; I absorbed it, felt it, lived it. It inspired me to create a piece of art that resonates with the idea of the city,” says the designer about the collaboration.

Calling Singapore a place perfect for new beginnings, Mishra further adds, “I’m thrilled to finally experience the allure of Singapore firsthand and wish that all couples-to-be can also find their ideal setting here.”
