According to the latest Global Passenger Survey report by IATA, more passengers are looking for technology to improve their travel experience. Some of the key findings revealed that passengers want to be able to do more of the traditional airport processes ‘off airport’ by taking advantage of the latest digital selfservice options. In 2016, the percentage of passengers who checked in online and used a mobile boarding pass rather than a printed one increased to 71 per cent from 69 per cent in 2015.
