Vis­tara ex­pan­sion plans

Vis­tara, the full-ser­vice joint-ven­ture of Tata Sons and Sin­ga­pore Air­lines which had com­menced air ser­vices in Jan­uary 2015 has com­pleted in­duc­tion of Airbus A320ceo air­craft in its fleet, with the ar­rival of the 13th and the last such air­craft from Toulouse dur­ing Oc­to­ber 2016.

The air­line is plan­ning ma­jor ex­pan­sion both of its do­mes­tic se­ries and launch­ing in­ter­na­tional routes, for which it projects a re­quire­ment of 100 sin­gle-aisle air­craft and 40 wide­bod­ied types. The air­line will be­gin for­mal eval­u­a­tion in the course of 2017 and it is ex­pected that var­i­ous Airbus mod­els are to be eval­u­ated in­clud­ing the A350, as also Boe­ing’s Dream­liner.
