Twitter’s Ravi Bhaskaran quits to join Uber

-

Continuing the trend of top-level exits from Twitter India, Ravi Bhaskaran, Head of business development/platform partnerships, South Asia, has called it quits at Twitter to join Uber India as head of partnerships.

Before Twitter, Bhaskaran worked in the telecom sector with a three-year experience with Aircel and around two-and-a-half- years at Reliance Communications, where he was the product head of App Stores & Social Media, 3G & New Age VAS.

Last month, Parminder Singh, Twitter’s managing director for Southeast Asia, MENA and India, quit the company after a three- year stint, days after Twitter India head Rishi Jaitly quit and eventually joined Times Global Partners as CEO.

Nandu Madhava, director of growth in India, quit the company in November 2016, soon after Twitter said it would cut 9 percent of its global workforce or about 350 employees, in order to cut down its costs.

The micro-blogging site reeling under a stagnant user growth is apparently experiencing similar exits globally. Jeff Seibert, head of product, quit Twitter in June 2016 after being in the role only for five months. Earlier, in December 2016, the micro-blogging service appointed Keith Coleman, founder of startup Yes, as head of its product team, the third executive to lead the division in less than a year, according to reports.
