HARRISON WONG
Always attracted to design, Harrison Wong studied fashion in Hong Kong for two years before studying for his master's degree at the UK'S London College of Fashion. Following his dream, he set up his eponymous label drawing on the inspiration he finds in art. His 1996 debut saw him win the Hong Kong Young Designer's Contest and The Grand Prix Contest in Japan.
Already seen on catwalks in Paris, Milan, Shanghai, Taipei and Sydney, Harrison launched his Fall/winter 2017 collection at New York Fashion Week this February. This collection, Modern Monastic, takes inspiration from the spare, austere cut of monastic robes, evoking a combination of venerable tradition and stark modernity, playing with different textures to make the stark colours more interesting. The understated elegance and edgy, aggressive design is very popular with fashion-aware men keen to incorporate art and design into their daily life.
