Social Style

Designed to encourage social interaction, M Social Singapore is a quirky, chic boutique hotel with plenty to offer.

-

Perched on the banks of the Singapore River amid the lively bustle of Robertson Quay, the Philippe Starck-designed M Social Singapore is eye-catching in many ways, from the mismatched Peranakan floor tiles to the bright colours and the eclectic decor of its restaurant and bar, Beast & Butterflies, its millennial mindset has art, design and technology at its core.

Check-in is easy and the 293 rooms, while efficiently maximising the use of space, are designed to exceed expectations with excellent facilities, great comfort and an airy feel thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the hotel's pool, as well as vaulted ceilings in the alcove rooms and a mezzanine floor in the lofts. Every room has its own Wi-fi access point for strong internet connection throughout the hotel.

Dining is provided at Beast & Butterflies, a beautiful space of eye-popping colour, movement and design with convivial communal, group and cosy seating areas. Nothing is standardised here and almost nothing matches, but somehow it remains stylish. The chandeliers – each one different – are recessed into ceiling domes, the chairs range from throne-style splendour to sofas and bar stools, the cushions are as bright as the floor tiles and there are lava lamps and digital displays everywhere. The food is a pleasing mix of Asian and Western flavours with delights such as the excellent lobster porridge, crispy pork knuckle and Hokkien noodles.

Breakfast, also at Beast & Butterflies, showcases local foods and is home to one of the hotel's two robots, AUSCA, an Automated Service Chef Associate, who busily carries out his breakfast duty making omelettes. Meanwhile, AURA, a front-of-house Autonomous Service Delivery Robot, spends her days and nights running around the hotel for room service, bringing towels, water and toiletries to guest rooms on demand.

The hotel also benefits from an outdoor swimming pool, gym, meeting rooms and the intimate My Space event area with plenty of natural daylight, a pool table and relaxation areas. Being heavily design-centric, it is no surprise that M Social is currently host to M Social Communities – The Passionart Sessions which present creative experiences with local artisans who reveal the secrets of crafts like origami, contemporary candle making, pottery and the art of Chinese tea with interactive sessions.

Part of Millennium Hotels, the multiaward winning M Social is much more than just a city hotel; with its playful design, thoughtful and extensive facilities, delicious food and drinks and superb location, it is a great choice for visitors to Singapore looking for a convenient base in the midst of a cheerful area packed with restaurants, cafés and art centres, just a short distance from the business district, Marina Bay and Orchard Road.
