Home to the largest free-form pool on the island, Hard Rock Hotel Bali is a holiday haven for fun-loving families. The musiccentric stay is just metres from Kuta Beach with its long swathe of golden sand and perennially popular surf breaks, but there's plenty to keep the kids entertained within the hotel walls, too.

With slides, sprinklers and a waterfall bucket, the mini water park is one of the main attractions for young guests. The central pool also features a volleyball court, rock climbing wall and a daily games programme for young and old. There's Shack Bar, a swim-up cocktail bar for the parents, poolside cabanas for relaxing, and a tropical sand island which hosts family-friendly foam parties on Friday and Sunday afternoons.

Among the other family- oriented facilities are the hotel's three agespecific kids' clubs. There's Lullaby Playroom, an indoor play room for toddlers; Roxity Kids Club, a drop- off club where 4-12 year olds can take part in

activities as varied as sand art, Balinese dance classes and culinary workshops; and Tabu Teens Club, a special venue for young adults with a DJ booth, gaming room and pool table. A mini cinema with beanbags completes the space. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

No matter what age, music lovers will have much to love at this rock-'n-rollthemed stay. Boombox, the hotel's on-site recording studio and karaoke room, is available all day for guests to use, and vintage record players and a mini library of classic rock vinyl come as standard amenities in the top-tier Rock Royalty rooms. The sonic stimulation continues at the hotel's main bar, Centerstage, where live bands play from 9pm every night. Children and teens are encouraged to join too, with Top 40 covers and the odd Disney theme song making the early evening playlists.

Accommodation options for families are amongst the most creative on the island and the Luxury Kids Suites represent the very best. Light, airy and modern, the spacious quarters feature a living and dining area, master bedroom with luxurious en-suite bathroom, and a children's playroom- cum-bedroom. The latter space features bunk beds, a flatscreen TV, a Play Station 4, soft toys, and even a bucket and spade for some oldfashioned fun on Kuta Beach.
