ZENITH RELEASES A RANGE OF NEW MODELS FEATURING NEW MATERIALS HIGHLIGHTING THE BRAND’S TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW AND ARTISTIC FLAIR
Zenith releases a range of new models featuring new materials highlighting the brand’s technical knowhow and artistic flair
DEFY EL PRIMERO 21 CARBON
The DEFY El Primero 21 from Zenith is equipped with a revolutionary movement that marks the 21st century chapter of the El Primero’s enduring legacy. This year, the futuristic chronograph comes in its most outstanding iteration to date: the DEFY El Primero 21 Carbon. The highest frequency chronograph ever to be serially produced now comes in a carbon fiber case, with geometric facets that perfectly complement the voluminous architecture of the open-worked movement. More importantly, it’s not just the faceted case and round bezel that are forged from carbon, but also the crown and chronograph pushers. As such, it’s only natural that the movement and dial are made to match the material’s allure. As a final touch, for the first time in the DEFY El Primero 21, the watch is given a deep black treatment, allowing the gleaming edges of the skeleton movement to shine through the dark and yet remain effortlessly legible in any condition with its contrasting white markings.
THE PILOT TYPE 20 EXTRA SPECIAL SILVER
As the watch brand that holds the trademark for the “Pilot” name—naturally giving it special legitimacy in the realm of aviation timepieces—Zenith has chosen its iconic Pilot line, renowned for its unique heritage and extensive range of appealing choices, to introduce its first ever timepiece with a silver case, titled the Pilot Type 20 Extra Special Silver. Of course, the Pilot line offers the ideal platform for this new watch, which has been issued as a limited edition of only 250 pieces.
While never losing sight of the adventurous mindset that forged its legend, the imposing presence of this watch offers a standout silver spin on a proud heritage. The clearly legible brushed silver riveted dial bears the line’s emblematic outsize hour-markers. One thing for sure, the Pilot Type 20
Extra Special Silver beautifully channels the collection’s pioneering spirit as well as Zenith’s acclaimed history of onboard instruments developed during the early years of aeronautics.
