DA MAN

For a better future

-

irst of all, you surely have noticed that we’re doing not just one, nor two, but three covers this issue. And now, on to more important matters. Following DA MAN’s 9th Anniversary Party, I’ve put a lot of focus on giving back by, among others, working together with the UNDP as a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Mover. One of my fellow Movers is the one and only Reza Rahadian. Amid his busy filming schedule, this incredibly talented actor has taken some time to go down and dirty, raising funds for UNDP’s Bring Water for Life initiative. We’ve also taken part in supporting this campaign through our silent auction during the aforementioned party.

Another great actor—and also a cover for this issue—is Joe Taslim. While I’m pretty sure most of us are wondering about his role in the upcoming “Star Trek Beyond” movie, this father of three is actively involved in many humanitarian causes through the UNICEF and the WWF, among others. This “pay-itforward” attitude, he says, instills a sense of balance in his busy life. There’s no arguing that.

As we’re planning to host more and more efforts to support the needy and the poor, we’re also growing our online department aggressively to feature more content on both our website, daman.co.id, and various social media platforms. Once again, I’d like to invite you to check out our DA MAN TV (on our website or YouTube channel), and enjoy the variety of programs that we have on offer. Just like the charitable action we took part in, this one, too, is meant for a better future.

Stay tuned to our social media accounts as we’ll be unveiling exciting new projects very, very soon. You can send me your feedback via email or through social media, which I’ll keep an eye on. Until then, happy reading.
