The First Cut is the Deepest
Not content with dominating the global leather backpack scene,
has spread their wings and collaborated with British designer Christopher Raeburn to create their debut clothing collection. Five key aesthetic points were chosen as the departure point for this collection: season-less, sustainable, unisex, multifunctional and mobile. The color palette for the collection, meanwhile, took after the Bavarian flag—quite appropriate as the brand originated in Munich—and is transposed into dove grey, crisp blue and lemon yellow. On its first runway show in South Korea, the collection showcased camouflage patterns and bright prints, and paired jackets with shorts—something that, according to MCM, might appeal to millennials. It might sound risky to focus on that particular generation, but, as always, only time will tell.
