Bronze and Beau­ti­ful Mont­blanc

has long been as­so­ci­ated with fine pens and leather goods. But not many peo­ple know that back in 2006, the Ger­man brand ac­quired watch man­u­fac­turer Min­erva and their in­cred­i­ble watch­mak­ing know-how which dates all the way back to 1858. That par­tic­u­lar year is now be­ing re­it­er­ated in a num­ber of Mont­blanc’s fine time­pieces, in­clud­ing three new bronze watches, among which is the 1858 Chrono­graph Tachymeter Lim­ited Edi­tion pic­tured here. The 44mm bronze case is paired with a bronze-colored ti­ta­nium case-back, a beau­ti­ful cham­pagne-toned dial and co­gnac-hued al­li­ga­tor strap. For their first en­try in the world bronze watches, Mont­blanc has surely made all the right moves.
