This British action-comedy movie sure has a stellar cast, from last year’s Oscar winner Brie Larson to heavy-hitters Cillian Murphy, Sam Riley and Armie Hammer. Set in Boston during the late 1970s, two criminal gangs are having a meeting in an abandoned warehouse to purchase weapons. At first, everything seems to be under control, but soon, shots are fired and a simple transaction turns into a game of survival where everyone involved is either trying to escape with their money or making sure that nobody else does. “Free Fire” is produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by Ben Wheatley, the same man who brought us “High Rise.” It first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and is scheduled for a theatrical release in April.
