Teaching an Old Series New Twists Stars Director

For its eighth installment and its second movie without Paul Walker, “The Fast and the Furious” franchise introduces its first female villain: Cipher, played by Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron. And to make things even more interesting, Cipher supposedly manages to lure the series’ main good guy, Dominic “Dom” Toretto (Vin Diesel), to the dark side. Continuing the franchise’s tradition of shooting in multiple locales across the globe, viewers will be taken to such places as Cuba, New York and Iceland.
