Since being built in 1895, the three warehouses located along the Singapore River have undergone various changes: As a hotbed of secret societies at one point, and liquor distilleries at another time. Now in the 21st century, the façade has been remodeled into The Warehouse Hotel ( 320HavelockRoad,RobertsonQuay;+656828 0000;thewarehousehotel.com), a 37-room modern hotel by hospitality company The Lo & Behold Group, which worked together with architecture studio Zarch and interior design firm Asylum. The rooms are designed in muted tones with some offering double-high ceilings and industrial details. The hotel’s culinary portfolio has been formulated by the highly-acclaimed chef WIllin Lou that emphasizes on a modern Singapore spin on traditional flavors.
