While most people say that 2017 flies by so fast, I just couldn’t wait for the summer to come. After the glamorous party celebrating DAMAN’s 10th Anniversary at Hard Rock Café Jakarta in the middle of May, I had some time off along with cover boy Oliver Cheshire and his beautiful fiancée, Pixie Lott, in Bali. The break also allowed me to contemplate just how surreal it is that DAMAN has grown, from the addition of two more titles (get your copies of DAMAN Style and DAMAN Caliber, too, while we’re at it) to our online presence on social media and through our daily-updated website.
In fact, we’re growing to cover a wider variety of celebrities as well, from the aforementioned British model Oliver Cheshire to Daniel Sharman of “Fear the Walking Dead” to Tommy Dorfman from Netflix’ “13 Reasons Why.” It’s no longer just about actors, as every platform has their own stars to boast. In this particular issue, you will find many different facets to explore. We took to London to discover an exclusive Omega watch party along with Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra. From Sepang, Malaysia, we had our dear friend, racer Renaldi Hutasoit test-drive the finest wheels from Mercedes-AMG. Not to forget, international philanthropist and model Petra Nemcova shared an hour or two for a special interview during her latest visit to Jakarta.
