To celebrate the relaunch of the Autavia collection, TAG Heuer has appointed Patrick Dempsey as its brand ambassador. The collaboration is further celebrated in a short film starring Patrick Dempsey himself, who— surprisingly—also directed the short film, making it the actor’s directorial debut. Entitled “To Jack,” the one-and-a-half-minute video is described as a “visual poem,” celebrating the love of driving, time, the past and present, and most importantly, the 55th Anniversary Special Edition Autavia on Patrick’s wrist. Shot by two time-Oscar winner Janusz Kaminski (whose portfolio includes working for “Schindler’s List” and “Saving Private Ryan”) and accompanied by a score composed by Grammy-nominated jazz musician Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, the black-and-white video elegantly conveys the timelessness of the Autavia.
