It’s a full-on war now between the humans and the apes. Following the story of “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” Caesar ( Andy Serkis) and the apes are now forced into a deadly conflict with the humans led by a savage Colonel (Woody Harrelson), where the apes suffer many losses. The two eventually meet in a battle that “will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.” Though this movie has all the appearances of yet another action flick, director Matt Reeves claimed that the movie was shot through a religious lens, much in the same vein as “Ben Hur.” So, be prepared for some deep drama to complement the epic fights.
