This is the famous story about the evacuation of 400,000 Allied soldiers from the coast of Dunkirk, France, during World War II. Though it is technically a movie about a war, it is not a war movie. Christopher Nolan has personally pointed out that the movie does not deal with the bloody aspects of war and will instead be a suspense film that focuses on the intensity of the human experience. The movie will be split into three sections: in the air (planes), land (the beach) and sea (the navy). Each will provide its own interpretation of the story, creating an extensive and detailed story about the war, and for you, a suspenseful cinematic experience.
