Silver Lining

Under the creative direction of Lucas Ossendrijver, Lanvin’s winter 2017 men’s pre-collection presents an interesting mix of elements. On the one hand, you’ll see a sci-fi post-apocalyptic optical pattern on top of a bomber jacket; on the other you’ll see a “flying lobster” pattern or patches on its silk shirts and baseball jackets. Another good example would be a pair of shoes with the word “Error” printed on them. Amid all these varieties and experimental mixes, there is one particular element that is congruent to the entire collection: lines. With strict lines and stripes highlighting the seams of the trousers, the elegance of the collection becomes readily apparent, along with the richness of the fabrics. All of these combined create a timeless collection that is eternally flowing and moving.
