STAR Trek: DISCOVERY

After getting delayed twice this year, “Star Trek: Discovery” is finally heading to the silver screen. Produced by Bryan Fuller ( who created “American Gods”) and Alex Kurtzman, the series is set ten years before the era of Captain Kirk and Commander Spock from the original “Star Trek” series. Yes, the classic one with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. “Discovery” refers to the show’s featured starship and the story will center on its first officer, Michael Burnham (played by Sonequa MartinGreen). The producers of “Star Trek: Discovery” also notably made it a point of casting a very diverse range of actors— which is quite appropriate considering the utopian ideals of the franchise.
