Based on Vince Flynn’s novel of the same name, “American Assassin” tells the story of Mitch Rapp (Dylan O’Brien). After losing his girlfriend in a terrorist attack, only minutes after he proposed, a devastated and angry Rapp finds himself in an interview with the deputy director of the CIA (Sanaa Lathan). In no time the grief-stricken man is sent to Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton) for intensive training in black operations, which eventually leads the two on a mission to prevent a new world war breaking out in the Middle East. So, basically, just another day in the job of an entry-level assassin.
