DA MAN

StorieS that Need to be told

-

ver three years ago, DAMAN became the first magazine ever to feature Richard Kyle when he first arrived in Indonesia. Now, DAMAN’s February/ March 2018 issue marks the model-turned-actor’s third appearance on the magazine and his first on the cover. In a way, I believe that Kyle’s journey also reflects how the magazine has grown to become the premier lifestyle publication it is today. And, of course, it is always a joy to work with him.

Furthermore, this issue’s lineup of Hollywood celebrities also reflects on the values we care so much about at DAMAN. Logan Shroyer, for one, represents a new generation of talent who are starting to enter the big leagues. Their stories are always inspiring and we are more than eager to highlight budding stars like him. On the flip side, we have Matt Czuchry, a seasoned actor who still takes on new challenges and break new ground. Finally, we have personalities like Arielle Kebbel, who is not only talented, but also a voice of many who are too often left voiceless. So, she’s not only fearless enough to play one of the antagonists in the upcoming “Fifty Shades Freed,” she’s also a vocal supporter of the #MeToo movement.

These are the kind of stories that are worth telling or simply need to be told. These are the stories that make DAMAN the magazine it is today.

Naturally, we have plenty of other stories as well, from big changes in the fashion world such as the announcement of Kim Jones’ impending departure from Louis Vuitton to exclusive fashion photography that truly tells the proverbial “thousand words” through exquisite imagery. Finally, as always, there will be plenty of new and exclusive content on our online and social media channels, so keep your eyes peeled. Until then, happy reading.
