Fire and Romance
Named after the daughter of Agni, the Hindu god of fire, ( Jl. Wijaya IX No. 23, Kebayoran Baru; +62 21 739 2430; agneya. co.id) reflects its namesake through the live fire bed that is showcased in the open kitchen. It is through there where whole lambs are spit-roasted, ducks are charcoalroasted, marinated fishes or other seafood are grilled and free-range chickens are hanged over a wooden ember. The menu presents a “Fire and Romance” philosophy, where the menu is steeped in traditional cooking techniques and authentic Indonesian traditions. Agneya also offers an extensive wine and cocktail list, including their signature Pineapple Blush, a mixture of vodka, muddled pineapple, sweet basil, palm sugar and a pinch of chili for added zest.
