UNDER ARMOUR’S CURRY 7 UNDRTD IS DEDICATED TO UNDERESTIMATED WARRIOR ATHLETES

Following Stephen Curry’s 11th season with the NBA, Under Armour unveils its signature shoe in a “UNDRTD” colorway.

Now, Curry has long been one of the game’s most underrated players and has faced an uphill battle at every level, but he has proven to be one of the best to ever step onto the court. He describes the newest collection as being dedicated to underestimated warrior athletes at every level— which is why Under Armour wants the Curry 7 UNDRTD colorway to serve as a reminder of the unsung heroes of sport.

As an upgraded version of the brand’s previous collection, the “UNDRTD” colorway features a sleek black, white and red upper made of several layered materials to provide reinforcement in zonal areas for comfort, stability and mobility. Meanwhile, for supporting the underrated in their first steps, both UA HOVR and Micro G cushioning platforms are included, helping them take that imposing first step, cover more ground and explore through every cut.

The Curry 7 is the first Under Armour shoe to combine the two cushioning technologies – which are separated and completely balanced by a flexible plate. As part of the Curry 7 global footwear launch, Under Armour is debuting a short film that celebrates several unnoticed champions.

The video introduces three teams who embody what it means to be underrated and explores their journeys to overcome and defy even the most trying moments – when nothing is expected.
