At Brasserie Gavroche, found at 66 Tras Street in Tan­jong Pa­gar, es­teemed chef and owner Frédéric Colin and his wife, Char­lotte have re­ally gone the ex­tra mile in cre­at­ing their own lit­tle piece of Paris in the very heart of Sin­ga­pore.

Since first open­ing in 2011, Chef Colin has been woo­ing din­ers with au­then­tic Parisian clas­sics pre­pared from age-old recipes pi­o­neered by his grand­fa­ther Henri, who, as he will tell you, has al­ways been the in­spi­ra­tion be­hind his life-long culi­nary pas­sion.

Ed­u­cated at the Jean Fer­randi Paris, he also owns the newly opened Bistrot Gavroche in Syd­ney and, just over the street from the brasserie you will find his re­laxed, Parisianthemed Café & Bar Gavroche.

Be­fore Gavroche, his dis­tin­guished ca­reer had seen him at the helm of the St Regis Bora Bora and the St Regis Sin­ga­pore as well as serv­ing time un­der two Miche­lin­starred Chef Bernard Joinville and at the three-Miche­lin starred Restau­rant Le­doyen, as chef de par­tie un­der the in­spi­ra­tional French Chef Chris­tian Les­quer.
